China Post Group in the Chaoyang District of Beijing has opened a temporary post office and arranged its staff to provide athletes from both home and abroad with postal services at the China National Stadium amid the ongoing IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Championships Beijing 2015, since its official kick-off on August 22.
The event drew the attendance of over 2,000 athletes from more than 200 countries and regions across the whole world, who competed for trophies in the sprint, hurdle, relay and other events till August 30.
Located at the entrance of the National Stadium, the temporary post office has been designed in bright orange, showing the logo of the China Post Group and combining athletic elements. The sight has left a deep impression on the public. A total of 105 staff are stationed at the venue and at relevant hotels where athletes are staying. They are expected to deliver high-level postal services with professional competence to the visiting customers.
Meanwhile, China Post has issued postcards, commemorative envelopes, postal collections, stamps and other items in connection with the IAAF World Championships, the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, as well as old pictures of Beijing, which instantly became popular amongst the public.
